Heidi and China: the Lifelong Quest of a Comparatist
China had been a dream in her early adolescence.
She then decided to disembark on the quest of finding out about this ancient yet fledgling country
She had been among the first in unveiling this revitalizing country.
Few can embrace this country as sincerely as she once did.
She was a great scholar in Chinese education and had served as president of the CIES and as co-editor of Comparative Education Review.
She passed her zest for the country onto young Americans
She was a wonderful human being.
